The CryoSauna is a rush and so refreshing! I felt low on energy before and full of energy afterward! 5 star rating for Restore CryoSauna!
Cryotherapy is the local or general use of low temperatures in medical therapy. The term “cryotherapy” comes from the Greek cryo meaning cold, and therapy meaning cure. This modality was first utilized in Japan in 1978 to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Studies conducted over the last two decades in Europe have established Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) as a Powerful modality in reducing inflammation and injuries in the following:
Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) is used by athletes of all levels to improve athletic performance, recover from strenuous workouts more rapidly, and to treat muscle fatigue and injuries. WBC triggers physiologic processes that decrease inflammation, improve detoxification, decrease lactic acid build up and boost anti-oxidants that reduce oxidative stress. In 2015, well-respected orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, founder of the ASMI and surgeon to top athletes in all sports, came out in full support of WBC.
An autoimmune disorder occurs when the body’s immune system attacks and destroys healthy body tissue by mistake, causing prolonged inflammation and subsequent tissue destruction. Allergies, MS, and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) are all auto-immune diseases. Whole Body Cryotherapy was developed in 1978 in Japan to treat RA. Over the last 30 years, many studies have concluded that WBC is an effective treatment in stopping the auto-immune attacks by reducing the inflammation that creates pain and dysfunction.
Arthritis is a general term used to describe more than 200 conditions that have a common thread of Inflammation of one or more joints; causing pain and stiffness. Whole Body Cryotherapy is a powerful, effective therapy that works by stimulating skin receptors that trigger the brain to release anti-inflammatory proteins into the body resulting in a reduction in joint inflammation and pain and relief of symptoms.
A true state of health is not merely the absence of symptoms. Disease and dysfunction can be present long before symptoms surface. Chronic inflammation is a major contributing cause to devastating conditions such as cancer, heart disease and auto-immune diseases. Inflammation also dramatically accelerates the aging process. Even if you feel great now, consider using Whole Body Cryotherapy as a preventative tool to control systemic inflammation and prevent disease.

As a chiropractor, the biggest hurdle that I face with helping my patients to restore their health is chronic inflammation and oxidative stress. Chronic use of the most common anti-inflammatory drugs (Neurontin, Celebrex)or over-the-counter medications such as aspirin, naproxen (Aleve), and ibuprofen (Advil and Motrin) can have devastating side effects on the body.
The upper cervical adjustment goes a long way in reducing inflammation due to its normalizing and optimizing effects on the nervous system, immune system and endocrine system. When necessary, I advise on clean eating, anti inflammatory diets, supplements, exercise regimens, and meditation. But, sometimes, the body just can’t get back ahead of the inflammation because of years of suffering.
After extensive research in effective, safe modalities to reduce inflammation, improve anti-oxidant capacity and improve detoxification, I am thrilled to now offer the Cryosauna as a compliment to Upper Cervical Chiropractic and as a solution to athletic performance and recovery.

I have completed the Freeze Week and am beginning another package for the cryosauna at Restore. I can’t express the difference it has made in the movement of my knees. There is no pain, and I feel my movements are much more fluid. Another benefit which I have experienced is an enhanced mood and clarity of thought. When I left work today, I felt tired, but after a cryosauna session, I have renewed energy for the rest of the day. In addition, the staff at Restore is very pleasant and professional leading to a very positive experience.Malinda G.
In September 2013, I had spinal fusion surgery. This surgery put six screws and two rods in my spine. After the surgery, I struggled with moving around freely because I always felt stiff in my neck and back. In September 2015, a friend recommended me to Dr. Gray. Before going to Dr. Gray, my neck felt frozen and I could not rotate it to the left. After my first few appointments, I saw major results. For the first time in years, my back didn’t feel stiff and my new range of motion is incredible! The Cryosauna further improved these results. Now I have amazing flexibility in my back that I never had pre-surgery. Dr. Gray’s holistic approach to the body incorporates all aspects of your body’s health. Everyone who works at Restore in Wayne has been wonderful and I am so happy with my newfound range of motion!Meg O.
After a morning workout, we had our first cryotherapy session at Dr Gray’s- it was hard to believe how great we felt after simply two minutes! We noticed increased circulation, particularly in our extremities and as a side benefit we had more energy and clarity for the rest of the day.Lisa F
